The Slovenian Immigration to Pueblo
Presented by Professor Matjaz Klemencic
Professor Matjaz Klemencic has studied Slovenian immigration in Leadville and Cleveland. He is currently studying the Slovenian immigration in Pueblo starting in the 1880's. The immigrants came mostly to work in the smelters and steel mill. He has written and co-written 18 books in Slovenian and English, though he won't have any for sale. He is currently a visiting professor at CSU-Pueblo.
The dinner will feature an authentic Slovenian menu including kielbasa and pizelles.
