Green With Envy
Miss Vermont Ashley Ruth Wheeler will be wearing her cause when she competes in the 2009 Miss America Pageant on January 24 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Ashley is going “green” for this year’s event, wearing a gown that has been made using hemp, organic cotton and silk, as well as other recycled materials. The dress was also created by a local designer, which is another issue that Ashley will emphasize.
